Philosophy
Our Passion for Yakusugi
Yakusugi refers to cedar trees that have survived for over a thousand years on Yakushima Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Their annual rings bear witness to the harshness and beauty of nature.
Since our founding in 1968, we have worked with this precious material, handcrafting each piece of furniture and craft with care.
We strive to bring out the maximum beauty of the wood grain, creating valuable works that will be passed down to future generations.
